Garden Pond
Hello everyone!
It's been a while since we moved to Tokyo this past Summer, I'm happy to say we are settled and happy to live here for the next 4 years. Although I haven't posted here due to computer/camera issues, I have been busy painting almost every day. The watercolor painting bellow is the view that I have of the garden pond as I step out of the elevator in my building. We have a lovely Japanese garden which is a great source of inspiration to me. I hope to do more paintings of the garden in the near future.

We have moved!
Hello to all from Tokyo, Japan! So, I finally have internet access and am able to update my art blog, my clients and my dear artblog followers. Thank you always for being so loyal to me. I plan to keep this artblog going for at least the next four years while I live in Tokyo and will try to post here more often. You can also friend me on Facebook where I seem to be more active ;) I can predict adding urban scene paintings while living here- I'm already very inspired by the view I have from my new home on the 9th and 10th floors of my building, in the middle of Tokyo. Cheers to all!

En Plein Air in oil colors and watercolors
Hello everyone! An update to my very neglected art blog: I've been enjoying my new found passion of painting en plein air in oil colors since last fall, thanks to a class I've been taking with the Art League in Alexandria, VA, with artist Sara Linda Poly. The painting above was done over the memorial day weekend in Afton, VA, when I was visiting with family ( thank you for the good times, good memories!)

January 2012 show at the Art League Torpedo Factory Art Center
Summer Bounty III
Watercolor on paper
An old still-life watercolor that I painted a few years ago in Geneva, Summer Bounty III, was chosen for the January 2012 juried show at The Art League, yay! I grew those tomatoes in planters on my balcony when I lived in Switzerland - they were beautiful, tasty and plentiful. And it was a pleasure painting them. I hope you can come to see the painting and show at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA.

I've been painting watercolor landscapes of Washington DC monuments and buildings in the past few weeks. The Capitol I is, at the moment, being shown at the Bin Gallery of The Art League for the month of January. I hope you can stop by the gallery to take a peek.
