Chateau de Chillon, Switzerland

Chateau de Chillon
Watercolor on paper
11" x15"
Chateau de Chillon is the most visited castle in Europe, made famous by Lord Byron's The Prisoner of Chillon. It's located just 40 minutes drive from our house, so we take our guests to visit the Chateau a lot. Come to visit us and we'll take you there... except that we only have a few weeks left before we move... so hurry!

Most beautiful and such an interesting background story! Theresa, I was over-awed by your flower paintings (and fruit and veg) when I started following you! Now, these landscapes show another wonderful aspect of your talent!

Beautiful WC Theresa. I visited there with Diane. It was a neat place nestled on the water. I will have to get my pictures out and relive that day more now that I have seen your painting. :-)

Beautiful Theresa! For some reason, I am envisioning the scenes from the Mary Shelley book, "Frankenstein."

Marie: Thank you so much for your kind words and your support of my work for the longest time, I appreciate it!

Gaylynn: So glad my painting brough you good memories, thank you! Diane was my tour guide today in Nernier, France.

Autumn: Thank you! I saw a passage of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein on a rock in Nernier, today. What a coincidence! BTW, Nernier is accross the lake from the Chateau de Chillon...
