Nyon - Place du Chateau

Nyon - Place du Chateau
Watercolor on paper
This charming plaza behind the castle is always busy with tourists enjoying the beautiful view of the lake (Lake Leman, aka Lake Geneva) and with locals going about their businesses. For me, this is a perfect place to sit and have a cup of coffee, read a book or make sketches while I wait for my daughter's ballet classes to finish...

So peaceful and with an old-town feeling! I would love to sit there too!

So gorgeous, Theresa! You live in a beautiful country, rich with architecture, I think. I love the streetside cafes.

Very nice piece..... I had a friend who had a charming ballet school in St. Prez. It is nice to see these areas through your eyes again.

Theresa, I wish you were close by and could give me lessons. I love the softness you achieve in your pieces. This view of the plaza exudes charm. I want to have a front row seat on one of those chairs.
