Wow! Terrific job! This would be a hard portrait to paint in any medium but I am particularly impressed that you captured this kind of detail and mood with Watercolor. The backlighting and shadows are so great.

Very dramatic! I'm not sure what the original photo looked like, but you have captured a wonderful mood and the backlighting really enhances the overall painting.

The mood in this portrait is tremendous. Love it. Love the skillful watercolor technique, too -- being a watercolor pretender myself, I understand the difficulty of the medium all too well. You're a master.
