Autumn Ivy

Autumn Ivy I
Watercolor on Arches
I love the cooler weather and the autumn colors in the neighborhood. This ivy is from a church wall in Gland, Switzerland. The whole church tower is covered with ivy, so you can imagine how beautifull it is in the fall...

The colours are just right! You have used so many shades of sepia which gives a cool calmness to the painting!

Theresa, Your use of a limited pallette is very effective. The colors are so harmonious. I love this painting.

You do lead an interesting and adventurous life. I love to travel, so I especially enjoyed your recent post on Istanbul. I'm so happy that I found your blog -- your work is very inspirational.
