Magnolia II by Theresa Miller

Magnolia II (Cave de La Charrue, Commugny)
6,5" x 8" Watercolor on paper
A petal from this magnolia fell off just so that it could show off it's beautiful, multicolored pistils... Too bad it's been raining a lot today, it means that the beautiful blooms will be gone sooner than later. I guess that's why we appreciate them so much - they don't last forever. Tomorrow, I'll be posting another magnolia, the last of the three that I've painted this week...

Love this one too - you are the queen of watercolor flowers! The touches of pink in the background are very nice - they pull us further into the painting.

I love your magnolias, Theresa. This one is especially unique. I would have been so tempted to "fix it" for the sake of my picture and lost the opportunity to paint something special.

Also, thanks for checking on my blog and commenting on my irises.
