Autumn Offerings (apples in ceramic bowl) by Theresa Miller

Autumn Offerings (Apple in ceramic bowl)

6.5" x 10" Watercolor on Paper

This is the last week of summer vacation before our daughter goes back to school as a second grader -time flies when we are having a good time. The air is crisp and cool and I can feel the autumn coming. Soon our apples in the backyard will be ready to be picked – maybe I will be able to make a few apple pies. The apples in my painting today come from the store, though. I hope you like it!

Yes, I do like this. I love the muted colours in this one, really gives a feel of days closing in, and even Christmas in the air! OMG! Where has this year gone?

Just that stem and its shadow thrills me, I hardly need the rest of the painting.... and of course it's just lovely.

Oh my, this image really makes me want to go buy some Granny Smith Apples! Wonderful job. Sorry I haven't been visiting recently, I've been swamped :).
