I love this time of summer when the sunflowers are blooming and the wheat is ripe and being harvested. There is a sense of bounty and richness everywhere. This field of bound up hay is just around the corner from my house. Can you see the Alps in the background?

Every time I walk these steps to the chateau de Nyon, I wonder about the people who walked the same path since the Romam times... these walls must have witnessed a lot thoughout the centuries.

Twice a week I drop off my daughter at her dance school in Nyon and go for a brisk walk in the neighborhood for the duration of her class. Nyon is a beautiful town, full of insteresting history http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyon and is surrounded with lovely and shady places to go for walks, either along the lake or in the parks nearby.
